I’m a writer based in New York and a senior editor at Artforum.
My essays and criticism have appeared in publications including T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Frieze, Art Review, Apollo, The Baffler, The New Republic, Jewish Currents, Art News, art-agenda/e-flux, Jacobin, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and Art in America, where I was an editor from 2019 to 2023.
I hold degrees in English literature and art history from the University of Edinburgh and CUNY Graduate Center. My academic research focused on 20th century art in East-Central Europe, specifically international Constructivist networks in the interwar period and surveillance aesthetics under late socialism. I also taught art history at Baruch College, CUNY from 2015 to 2018.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband, MH Miller (also a writer), and our daughter.
